PRABHASIL DAIRY & PAPER GRADES
Sodium Hydroxide which is commonly used in Dairy is caustic in nature( Alkaline),and hence when handling or coming in contact with skin, causes irritation and burning.
"PRABHASIL" is also alkaline in nature but less caustic compared to Sodium Hydroxide, and when acting as cleaning agent, the pH is maintained over a longer period, and it has the property of keeping the matter in suspension even with fall in pH value. Further, reacting with Calcium and Magnesium Salts, which is also done by phosphates which are not environmentally favourable, but "PRABHASIL" is more environmentally friendly - even after discharge into drain. The residual alkalinity neutralises the drain water and keeps the matter suspended, and finally SiO2 which is precipitated becomes part of mud and neutral, absorbing other toxins around it. All these advantages are not available in Sodium Hydroxide alone or Phosphates, carbonates and sodium hydroxide combined together. It is compatible with detergents, formaline, bleaching powder and hydrogenperoxide, without any effect on its properties.
It is a colourless crystalline substance or in powder form, having no characteristic smell. It is soluble in cold and hot water, but insoluble in alcohol. "PRABHASIL" has wide applications. The principal applications are connected with their adhesive properties, wetting powers for diverse materials, and binding and detergent characteristics.
Uses: 1) "PRABHASIL" is used abandantly in Diary. "PRABHASIL" with 50% Caustic giving fairly satisfactory results in cleaning milk storage tanks, road tankers and HTST Pasteurisers The cleaning properties are same as in the case of using Caustic directly. It is used as Floor Cleaner.
2) It is used in the manufacturing of Deinking Paper. It is having all the necessary properties of a Dienking chemical.
3) It is used in laundry as a detergent biulder for washing various types of clothes.It enters into deep roots of clothes and takes out dirt particles and keeps the clothes bright.
It is used in detergent manufacturing as a base for detergent formulations.
4) It is used in the manufacture of Bleaching Acid.
